Sunday was another action-packed festival day, and it started even earlier for me with Chelsea FC. I knew my partner was going to sleep in late, so I slipped out at 7.30am for the 8.30 kickoff. The crowd was a bit thin, but it is to be expected with an early morning Sunday match.
Things started brightly for my Chelsea, but the squad did not convert enough of its chances. Although the Blues got out to a 1-0 lead, they squandered it against London rivals Crystal Palace and finished 1-1 for an underwhelming point at home against a bottom half team.
Subtronics doesn't actually play for Chelsea, but I couldn't help myself and ordered a cheap custom print on last year's home kit to celebrate the popular dubstep DJ. I'd like to think that if Subtronics actually did follow English soccer, he'd fancy himself a Chelsea supporter.
I stopped at my favorite local Brooklyn bakery on the walk home for a nice loaf of seeded sourdough. I was home around noon, but my partner didn't get up until 3pm. I spent some time looking through Saturday's videos and played a bunch of Splinterlands battles. Finally I prepped for a quick audio interview that I had scheduled with one of Sunday's DJs, Kaivon.
My partner and I both preferred the Day 2 Sunday lineup, as it had more of the bass DJs we like listening to, including the aforementioned Subtronics, as well as his wife Level Up. There was also a debut back to back featuring Said The Sky and William Black.
To no big surprise, I was able to cruise past the 10K step mark again for what feels like two consecutive weeks. I'll be down below my target weight in no time, but now comes the challenge of improving the quality of my diet to support with protein for building muscles and fiber for better detoxification and elimination. We'll see if I can continue above 10K steps with a vacation day on Monday. Until next time...
