If you are looking for me, I am still wandering the back aisles of my favorite store, the Christmas Market, I just cannot help myself! Without a doubt, it is the most wonderful time of the year. I know, I do say that a lot, but, just for a few moments, allow yourself to bask in the warmth of the season. Fair warning! Be prepared for a bit of seasonal happiness and joy that we will be showing today. Hark!!! I heard an angel sing! Do you hear what I hear??
Today is #MarketFriday initiated by @dswigle (Denise, that's me!!) Join me as we share our markets across the globe. I always look forward to seeing what you send me! It is amazing to see the different markets and cultures of our friends here on Hive.
I have taken these all home. One year at a time. Oh, yes! I do love Santa! I have more, but I won't bore you. I just wanted you to know that Santa is my man.
And think awhile of Santa Claus--
That jolly symbol we revere
When we approach the changing year.
Behind his beard so long and white,
In which our children take delight,
There beats a heart from color free
Which bids all children come to me
The Spirit of Santa Claus
This is what is referred to as a Pencil Tree. Tall and skinny,, it fits in places that no ordinary tree would fit. I bought one specifically for my front entry way, or foyer. It has furniture in it, so there is no room for a regular sized tree. However, this slender rendition of a tree fits perfect. I like that they display all different kinds of trees that fit every need. You don't even have to want to buy these baubles, they are just pretty to look at. It is like going to a parade or a light show. You can just enjoy the scenery. For me, it gives me a few ideas on how to change things up a bit. Hey! It's Christmas and I actually enjoy just looking. I don't have to buy to be happy. Also, I don't have to store it if I don't buy it.
Homemade wooden signs, metal signs, and even vintage looking signs. Baby! It's Cold Outside! The sayings on these run from wintery words to whimsical wonders. If you can dream it, they can make one. They use great marketing to win your attention while wandering through this winter wonderland.
Tell me it isn't true? There is something about the Season of Joy and Christmas trees that seem to capture the imagination of children, and sometimes, more often than you believe, adults. I can't even put my finger on it. I just knoew that sometime after Halloween, the change begins. I have stopped trying to anazlyze it and just embrace it.
Do you see this? A bow tree! I love this idea. Many stores you must order a bow and they proceed to make you one. Here, there is an employee that makes bows all day long and clips them on the tree. You don't have to ask for one, just merely take it off and put it in your shopping cart, and then, of course, you need to pay the lady!
The walls are covered with wreaths. You can get one that is made or order one and they will make it as you wait around in the store. You can even select fresh greenery unadorned to make your own or have them make it your way. Choices. Choices. Sometimes it makes the decision harder with too many choices.
Please leave the link to your post here so it can easily be found by others. It helps you and me to have them in one place. Where else can you take such a quick trip around the globe? Thank you so much for joining us!! ❤
Accessorize with fruit and a bit of the green. What is not to love? Let the merry begin! Attach a ribbon or bow, grab some garland and let's go!! I finally found garland for my house. There was even a sale for forty percent off! Before the sale, it was overpriced, and even when it was marked down, it was still a little expensive and a tad overpriced.
In keeping with the Christmas countdown with one picture and the countdown, there are 14 days, 23 hours, 50 minutes, and 29 seconds left! It is getting too close for comfort! I want it to last a little bit longer, keeping those elaborately decorated ornaments coming.
Of course, let's not forget the Reason for the Season.
Thank you for visiting my post 💖 Don't ever forget what an amazing world we live in, people. Some days, it is not so easy to see, how truly wonderful it really is. Always remember, kindness counts. Wherever you go, whatever you do.
Apologies: I don't know where I got the string of lightbulbs to credit them. I couldn't find it on the internet. I thought I got it here on the platform but can not longer find who to credit it to.
