Yes leftism is often associated with communism. In the US the democratic party is considered left/liberal/progressive/socialist, and more recently has started to embrace some of the ideals of communism.

I remember when my former job started making us wear masks, I didn't know if I could stand it. Unfortunately I did though... Then it was July of 2020 and they said we could stop wearing masks IF vaccinated.

We don't have it for general use though. You can't log into most sites with Hive like you can with those others. It's a blessing and a curse though because it's extremely convenient, but further centralizes

Why not use KDE Neon? It's the latest and greatest from KDE, and it's I think the official KDE. And it is also Ubuntu. Are you using Nivida or AMD GPU? And what sort of problems do you run into with discrete

Yes, I ended up missing the month of November which was a sort of deadline as I try to have one video per month. And even then, one a month is less than optimal for Youtube's algorithm to promote a channel.
