I remember when my former job started making us wear masks, I didn't know if I could stand it. Unfortunately I did though...
Then it was July of 2020 and they said we could stop wearing masks IF vaccinated. I was not vaccinated, nor did I plan to be, and I stopped wearing the mask then.
But then masks came back, and I refused to wear it. For nearly a year I was in building with hundreds of people, and I was the only person without a mask, and no one said anything. It was amazing.
It was also ironic that as so many people were getting sick with Covid and missing work, I didn't wear a mask, yet I never caught it.
Eventually some people started to say something, but I simply would walk away from them or when they'd say "where's your mask", and I'd simply answer that I didn't have one and move away.
I decided I wasn't going to do it anymore, and I was prepared to be fired over it. But I was also in management, and someone who was very necessary to the business so that may have had something to do with how I got away with it.
