We're back, babbieee!! Maybe it's because covid made the last year seem like 4 years, but my god, it feels like it has been a long time since I've had new content to show you all! Issue 4 is absolutely nuts, and it's going to take longer to draw this one than the others - no surprise since this issue took me about a year to write and almost caused me to quit the whole story (thank god my editor, Lisa stood by me, believed in me, and forced me to write something worth reading!)

Don't get me wrong though, I'm not saying this issue is the best in the series, or my magnum opus, it took a year to write because it was so hard to re-imagine the story and restructure it into something way more coherent. At this point in the process, I had already written all 600+ pages of Ithaqa comic (2-3 years ago) but I realized that Harvey's journey was just a series of Deus-ex-machinas, and his actions needed to have meaning to the larger plot. He couldn't just be the cool guy who shows up and knows things. Then, I had to juggle all of that while figuring out how to use time travel in my story in a way that didn't render all of the other character's actions meaningless. You don't want to find yourself in the Harry Potter time-turner problem where you introduce a power that renders the rest of the story obsolete (but still go through the whole story anyway).

Luckily for me, our current understanding of multi-verse theory indicates that you can't alter the past on your own timeline. If you go back and kill your ancestor, you still exist in your own timeline, you've just created a different timeline where you no longer exist. More on that later on in this issue...
