You're perfect.
Untainted, unscathed, undamaged, unjaded, unharmed. You first surprised me just by being, and now that I know you, by how incredible you are.
The Universe and life itself are amazing, but currently, humanity is worrisome. We're on the brink of destroying ourselves, or heading into nightmarish technocratic slavery.
What have I done?
This world doesn't deserve you, my boy. Your trusting eyes, warm embrace, innocent sighs... they pierce me. With love... but also with fear - that this world will decimate you, as it has done me.
And yet, I believe it needs you.
Until the day you can bear those responsibilities, hear all the devastating truths, and withstand the crushing disastrous weight of this world on your back, I vow as your father to keep you as unscathed as you are right now.
May these feelings of complete safety, love, and peace linger with you always.
Congratulations, son.
I'm so sorry.
Thank you.
You're welcome here, and you're loved.
-- your father
