Are these little mushrooms a fairy forest? Seriously, it's tiny little moss & fungi features like this that convince me that there must be little creatures, even if not fairies, who consider this their little paradise.
I'm so grateful to have noticed this, and taken this shot. It's just off a hiking trail that leads into a canyon of giant rock structures that tower above like a NYC high rise. This little part may not ever get direct sunlight, making it truly a microclimate.
