Sad Ray, Acrylic on Paper, 2016
My son was at that super expressive age at the time. Mostly sad expressions, and always so exaggerated. He is still very expressive now, but mostly with his voice and not so much his face.
Taking a lead from “Pouts” I pushed the face to the edge of the page. But I didn’t keep the same style. Instead I opted for a more water-color block print style. I still like this one a lot. I have played with many styles, and this is by far one of my favorites.
I’m posting every painting I have ever done from 2014 to the present, the good, the bad, and the ugly. With an occasional photograph or sketch thrown in just to mix things up. Check back daily to see my progression as an “artist”!
