You say you can make tea in 5? whoooooa! slow down there youngster...clearly you are under the age of 40 and can zip around like one of them young whippersnappers.
But once you reach a certain age, you need to take it easy. Shuffle around so you don't torque anything. Move nice and slow, in order to pacify any muscles, joints or bones that are planning a mutiny, quiet-like.
Mutiny is impossible, you say?
Let me give you an excerpt from my life, 10 hours ago.
I'll set the scene for you.
Dreem, slouching on the couch. feet up on the coffee table. working on her computer. in front of a crackling fire. Could anything be more idyllic?
She decides to get up from the couch, and feels a slight ping in the center of her back, right hand side.
Dreem: Oh, I better not move that way ..or else my back will get tweaked.
Back replies:. HEY! what are you doing??? Don't move that way or else I'll spasm.
Dreem: So sorry! I will be sure to take care next time.
Back continues: TOO LATE! TOO LATE!!! IM SPASMING NOW.
Dreem: but wait! why?? I literally moved an inch and stopped. all I'm doing now is....sitting here, and breathing???
Back: GAHHHHHHHHHH.
Dreem: GAHHHHHHHHHH
so the moral of the story is two fold:
So, waking up at 2:30 am...in pain, and deciding to make tea is really all there is to do.
And I am really quite proud that it only took 33 minutes. I probably would have made it in 26, except I dropped the lid for the honey on the floor.
and.... well. Let's all just be thankful that I am not lying next to the lid right now.
Carry on, folks. Nothing to see here
❤️, Dreemie
