My goal was to find the underlying structure of the green algae colony Edorina. Here are the basic steps I took to draw it. I found this organism from a local Boise water sample. I use a plankton net to filter out microorganisms and make videos using a dslr camera attached to a microscope with DIC optics. I find the geometry underlying life to be fascinating.
