For this drawing I started by making a sketch, I find it more difficult than doing it on paper, but I hope to get used to it soon.

Para este dibujo empecé haciendo un boceto, me cuesta más que hacerlo en papel, pero espero acostumbrarme pronto.

I don't have to do the lines in the linework layers anymore, 😁🎉although they still don't fit very well.

Ya no tengo que hacer las líneas en las capas de linework, 😁🎉 aunque aun no me quedan muy bien.

For the base color I tried several combinations, but in the end I went for sure, red as the main color, green as contrast and purple as intermediate color. As a curiosity, I tried using green as the main color and red as contrast, but it looked too much like yoshi to be comfortable.

Para el color base probé con varias combinaciones, pero al final me fui por lo seguro, rojo de principal, verde contrastando y morado de fondo como color intermedio. Como dato curioso, intenté usar verde de principal y rojo de contraste, pero se parecía demasiado a yoshi como para sentirme cómoda.

I added general shadows and the darker ones, the same time in the same layer, and I made the shadow of the floor with blue tones to give more richness of color.

Agregué las sombras generales y las más oscuras, esta vez las agregué al mismo tiempo en vez de separarlas en capas e hice la sombra del piso con tonos azulados para que diera más riqueza de colores.

At this point I had to expand the canvas a bit to feel more comfortable and I went on to do the background.

To do the background I applied a technique that I started to use in my previous drawing, yes, the one I'm going to publish on Wednesday 😉; I pasted the shadow of the floor to the background, then I added dark tones and I started to degrade with the brush.

En este punto tuve que expandir un poco el lienzo para sentirme más cómoda y pasé a hacer el fondo.

Para hacerlo apliqué una técnica que empecé a usar en mi dibujo anterior, sí, ese que voy a publicar el miércoles 😉; pegué la sombra del piso al fondo, agregué tonos oscuros y empecé a degradar a lo loco con el pincel.

Finally I add ambient light and adapt the background gradient to the dragon and that's it.

Finalmente agrego luz ambiental y adapto el degradado de fondo al dragón y listo.

It was fun to make this dragon, a little strange to sketch and paint, but, in general the tablet simplifies my work quite a lot and gives a cleaner finish, in this week I will be minted this dragon as an NFT in nftshowroom, if you are interested you can follow me here. 😉

For those who have come here waiting for the explanation of its curious name, I explain, its colors remind me of a tomato but I did not like the name so much, so I called it "Ají".

But why "Ají" and not chili? Because in Venezuela, where I come from, not all the chilli are spicy, the "Ají dulce" is used in all kinds of stews, but sometimes it happens that "Ají dulce" turns out to be spicy. I wanted to give this dragon that dual nature, which will be an "Ají dulce" or it will turn out to be an "Ají picante".

Fue divertido hacer este dragón, un poco extraño para bocetar y pintar, pero, en general la tableta simplifica bastante mi trabajo y le da un acabado más limpio, en esta semana estaré subiendo esta belleza como un NFT en nftshowroom, si están interesados pueden seguirme aquí. 😉

Para los que han llegado hasta acá esperando la explicación de su curioso nombre, les explico, sus colores me recuerdan a un tomate pero no me gustó tanto el nombre, así que lo llamé Ají.

Pero, ¿Por qué Ají y no Chili? Es porque acá en Venezuela existe una variedad de ají que no es picante pero que es exactamente igual al picante, y es muy usado en guisos o caldos, sin embargo, a veces pasa que ese ají que le echaste a la comida te da una picante sorpresa, yo quería darle a este pequeño esa naturaleza dual, ¿Será un Ají dulce o picante? eso lo sabrás cuando lo pruebes.

Pero, ¿Por qué Ají y Chili? es porque aquí en Venezuela el existe el Ají dulce una variedad que en apariencia no se diferencia en nada con el picante y que es un ingrediente fundamental en la mayoría de nuestros guisos, sin embargo, a veces pasa que ese Ají dulce que le echaste a la comida te da una picante sorpresa, yo quería darle esa naturaleza dual a este pequeño, ¿Que será dulce o picante? solo lo puedes saber cuando lo pruebes.
