My Hive view is a bit different of, I will say, great part of you.
For me Hive is a kind of fun online, sharing some content and wasting some free time. For most of you, Hive is a business, in principle nothing against it, just different ways of looking at it.
But let me put your business shoes and look at Hive from that perspective.
A business, any "non-solidarity" business wants to be profitable. Nobody joins a business to lose money, and if there is free money in Hive for exchanging content, there are those who don't produce content, the investors, that so many say are necessary in Hive.
For an investor, and deep down for everyone who looks at Hive as a business, in the end they want one thing, profit. I only know one way of making financial profit, selling more expensively what was bought or produced cheaper.
We're almost in 2024, a year ago, Hive was worth the same as it is today, plus a cent minus a cent, most of the cryptos that you probably also own, are worth more today than a year ago. Same thing if we compare 2023 and 2021.
My question to you, in an attempt to generate some discussion and brainstorming is:
It's all okay, it's also a possibility, not my opinion but of course it is a valid away of looking at.
It is also true that, from the point of view of business and growing, this is a long journey, but how long do you think is reasonable to see others growing and Hive be almost ignored everywhere or at same price year after year, until something is done or changed to invert this pattern?
Until the next big Hive project?
Until tons of dhf money is dumped on exchanges?
Until when?
