Hello my dear colleagues and readers of this great platform, today I wanted to resume the daily challenge of the Blogging Challenge, taking one of the strongest questions for me of the entire calendar this month, the number 27, today I will tell you about a difficult time I had to live a few years ago and that although years have passed I remember them as if it were yesterday.

We all go through difficult moments in our lives, no one escapes that, but there is always one that marks us, that haunts us or torments us for a long time, my most difficult moment was when I found out that my mother's days were numbered, finding out was as if something broke inside me and the worst thing is that I could not say anything to her, To live every day knowing that soon you will no longer see the woman who gave you life and whom you loved since the day you came into the world, with that incomprehensible, unconditional love was the most traumatic thing for me, even at the age of 28.

To say that I was the best son in the world would be lying to myself, I was not the best, we always fought, I always disobeyed and I gave her many headaches, my mother was a strong and fair woman, she was correct in all her things and practically was mother and father, since my dad died from the same cause when I was only 10 years old, I lived with her until I was 28 years old, maybe for fear of leaving her alone or because of her character, but being as she was and how rude she could be, she was always a loving mother and dedicated to my things.

Maybe that's why it was so hard for me, knowing that soon I had to continue alone, she was diagnosed with advanced metastasis, when the symptoms began, so by the time it was detected the doctor told me clearly that there was nothing to do, to be with her for the time she had left, which was not much.

Every effort of those months to see her one more day, were exhausting, I have two sisters who did not care to help me take care of her because they were always absent, so I had to be alone, the first months were not so strong for my old lady, I worked all day and came home to spend sleepless nights thinking so much about what was coming, by the time 3 months had passed since the diagnosis I had to leave work, because my mother began to have a severe cough and bleeding, she always asked me "What do I have daddy? and I would always tell her "mom you have pneumonia", lying to her about it was strong, but telling her was sentencing her faster so I never did it.

At 5 months, the cancer reached her bones, to the point of fracturing a femur and the worst thing is that she could not recover, at that point I had to take care of her and be alert 24 hours a day, bathing her and taking her to the bathroom, it was very traumatic for her and soon it would be for me, as the days passed my concern grew bigger and I stopped eating with the depression I had and I could not explode, fights with my sisters asking for help, which never came, I had to continue.

A month later she began to lose consciousness of the things around her, she no longer spoke, did not know anyone, did not eat, everything was strong for a person, I could not sleep because I had no time, my body began to be exhausted by the fact of not sleeping or eating well, cancer is a horrible disease, but my strength returned just to see her one more day, soon everything would end and I could rest, that I repeated to myself daily with tears in my eyes.

Until the day came, on February 10th at 7 am, I heard her choking very loudly, oxygen did not help her, seeing her suffer so much every day, I remember that I took courage, I did not want to take her to the clinic, I wanted to see her rest, I sat in bed next to her, I hugged her and took her hand, I said goodbye and there I rested until she left, Love your parents, respect them and share as much time as possible with them, all that effort they made to see us healthy and grow up, we must repay them with love and understanding, they are our pillars and we never know how important they were until they are no longer with us.
