It isn't that difficult to think of the many things that will stay exactly the same for billions of people around the world even after the coronavirus stops being the topic of conversation for the day, week, or month.

Can You Think Of Even One Activity?

Even today you might be doing a variety of activities that you would've been doing last year or in the years prior.

You still pump gas the same way, order a pizza the same, wash your car the same, get money out of the bank the same, take a shower the same, and so on.

You still are going to ride a bike the same way, go for a walk the same way, grow food the same way you always have with probably the same methods you are familiar with using. You will chop wood the same way, go camping in similar ways that you have before, and eventually you will book a hotel room and experience a night out of the house again in the future.

Call the police and they still show up just the same.

You will still watch television just the same, call friends and family in the same old fashioned way, and celebrate holidays as you usually have done with family once you can again engage in social gatherings without being deemed a criminal.

You can still buy food as usual at your grocery store or farmers market, shop online for clothing or buy some in the store now that they are starting to open up too again. You might have to keep your distance at first, but will we always need to keep 6 feet between us and our loved ones for the next 100 years? I doubt it. Many are not even doing that now. Will toilet paper and cleaning products be sold out for the next 100 years? I also doubt it. Many shelves have already been restocked.

"Normal wasn't working for Us, We need to change"

Who is US and WE? because you shouldn't be speaking for anyone but yourself. Should you? Who gives you the authority to determine what was or wasn't working for anyone other than yourself? And how many opinions have you gathered in order to assess what everyone else must be thinking and feeling?

No one was ever preventing you from changing your 'normal' routine, and that is something that can change for you at any time. There is no permission needed, but some folks are confused in trying to speak as if they can demand such a change that they might desire for others, as if its the only acceptable path forward.

What was a "normal" routine for Jim Bob last year, might not have been "normal" for Sally Ann, and despite the coronavirus or not, things around us change drastically for individuals around the world daily based on occupation, health, finances, friendships, and general life experiences. The 'normal' is literally adapting and continually changing on a regular basis for us all, so there was no old set standard that everyone might have been accustomed to which we should all be eager to get back to or be afraid that it has changed forever.

As an individual you alone get to decide your normal, nobody else. Except of course for the violence that the state subjects everyone to with their random edicts, whatever that "normal" consists of (curfews or lockdowns) we all must be subjected to.
