The world's first 3 year cruise has been announced and people are already starting to book their spot.
Overall the 3 year cruise is going to stop at 275 ports and sail around the world about 130k miles.
The trip will include stopping in some of the most popular tourist destinations in the world and the entire thing starts at around $90k which can go up to $330k depending on the type of accommodations that are selected. This makes the trip about $30,000 per year and that's probably cheaper than many people might be paying for rent for the year.
It is no doubt going to attract a lot of attention and is already seeing demand and bookings.
Following the pandemic there were a number of surveys showing that people are ready to get back to travel. Things have already been picking up for different destinations and vacation packages and services. As well, many people today prefer to take a cruise.
It seems to be a great value that travelers will be getting for their money and will be the trip of a lifetime with all that's included in bringing those guests to so many different places around the world in one go.
Travel confidence has been slowly building back up and many people are already booking a variety of vacations on cruises and elsewhere. Demand for cruises has been surging and some have asked if supply will even be able to keep up with the demand.
The number of passengers on ocean cruises dropped significantly in 2020 and 2021 but things have been getting better. Overall they saw more than an 80% dip in travel for cruises in 2020 compared to 2019.
