TOGETHER
Standing together
on the rock
needing nothing else
wanting no one else
their bodies molded
to allow for the most powerful embrace
when their hearts
begin again
to beat as one
Sitting together
beneath the rock
near the ocean
she is sheltered and protected
by a boy who becomes
a man when with her
The sunlight on her face
melts his heart
and he can only smile
as there are too many
emotions at once
Her scent
her hair
her eyes
so beautiful
he cannot hold her tightly enough
she is his world
Lying together
near the fire
they cannot help but stare
into each others eyes
and wonder how years
were permitted
to pass between them
Both amazed
at feeling
so content
so comfortable
and
so in love
with each other
But it should come
as no surprise
because they know
they have
never
loved anyone else
Thinking together
about each other's separate lives
wondering how or when
they will ever meet
again
As they say good-bye
their is a new beginning
for they have done something
as unique and special
as they are to each other
They have found first love
for the second time
