FILLING THICK NOTEBOOKS
My heart
is awake
wandering
long covered paths
Regrowth
a blade at a time
no longer cutting
but reaching
for new heights
Pushing the overgrowth aside
letting the sunshine
finally
blanket the earth
All the lists
the to do's
filling thick notebooks
far too long
Ripped
broken and crumpled
each finding space
in darkness
Where they should have been
years before
not seeing the light of day
in silence
Not
creating anxiety
shortened breath
or incessant thoughts
