escaping
like smoke
through a keyhole
and I've misplaced
the key
Others
filter through
cracks in the walls
of a house
that was once
a home
Full of love
and laugher
sounds of life
pervading the halls
and flowers in
the front yard
Impressive
with colours
filling eyes and hearts
with thoughts of the
perfect family
But the
same
key lost
also opens the
secrets locked
away in the
basement
Maybe
we won't look
to hard
to find it
