DO I MAKE HER SMILE?
Two people
from different worlds
brought together
by a common passion
each wondering
what the summer holds
for they both are at their best
when the sun shines
on their face
Their first meeting began
with a simple smile
and that became the building block
of their relationship together
One without boundaries
without limits
and without a title
for titles when imposed
hinder rather than create
an environment where both
become playfully content
He tries to impress but is surprised
that he can be himself when with her
but which side of him is
brought to the surface
is a reflection of her mood
and what he believes
she needs
He only knows her from her smile
but somehow he cares
and hopes that she can find
yet another side of him
to take comfort in
He thinks she ignores him
and does not question why
knowing she is out of his league
But he will be eternally
at peace
knowing
he has made her
smile
