What I am is mixed up with what I was. There is good and bad. You are the same. Our ‘color’ is not pure. We may attempt to show our best side, but we all are imperfect.
I have stated the obvious with a purpose. The stains and scars of past events do not automatically impose themselves on what I create today. I have been forgiven for all of my past failures.
You will never know the details of my past just as I will never know everything about you. We are like paint. Life is the mixer. We are all mixed up.
However, from within we produce pure color. It is a color of our choosing. Yet not totally. I have a personal tendency toward doom and gloom. I may try to show bright cheerful colors, but alas, I will fail. All I can do is try. With daily effort, I can change my tint.
In conclusion, today is a new opportunity to choose. What others will remember: your legacy is up to you.
Persistence today is totally a matter of personal preference.
Here is today’s beauty.
