Yesterday I heard a television announcer refer to the Boston Redsocks as being world champions. Sorry... I missed the World Series.
These things can happen when you are distracted. They can also happen when you are apathetic to watch news and sports channels.
What is truly important?
I care about the price of Steem, and what will become of our blockchain in the future. However, the Steemit community is mostly unknown to the general population. In our massive growth and capacity we are insignificant.
I am personally much more insignificant. Like a single cell in a human body, I lack relevance.
So... importance is relative to the perspective of others. We all care about a limited sphere of experience.
Many of our fellow Steemians have been away from home to participate in Steem Fest. They will soon be reunited with their family and friends. I know of one little girl who has missed her daddy.
The point is simple... maybe even obvious. Keep your focus on what is important to you.
