I try out a steamed bao with kalbi beef at Toronto's Banh Mi Boys. Usually I get a Banh Mi Sandwich but this time I wanted to try out other items.
This bao is not very big but I wanted something light for lunch. It was also 6.78 CAD after taxes. This price is low compared to a lot of other lunch options in downtown Toronto.
My bao arrived kind of fast after approximately 5 to 7 minutes.
The beef itself was very good in texture in taste. My issue with the bao was that it does not hold very well and the meat falls apart. There are a lot of napkins available as it does get messy with your hands.
Rating: 7 out of 10. The taste was very good but the bao does not hold up well. It is a slightly messy eating experience. I'll just get their Banh Mi sandwiches going forward on my next visit.
