OK... It's confession time... 馃槀 Like a friend pointed out this morning 'no more sober October'. 馃檮馃槣 I stand abashed. I made a statement on my blog about doing a SOBER OCTOBER and I was seriously planning on a whole month during which I planned to consume NO alcohol at all..... Have you ever heard of or partaken in a SOBER OCTOBER before? Well I've done it before and I was planning to do so again.
All these wonderful plans were made before I knew hubby was gonna be home for half of the month and those who know us knows that we're not the best of influences on one another where diets and no alcohol intake is involved... 馃槀 馃槀 馃槀 24 years of partnership has had that effect. And not in a negative way. Just that we enjoy food and the occasional glass of wine or alcoholic drink with it so going 'sober' for a month with him around is near to impossible.
Chili infused Green Island Rum
So I now confess that my SOBER OCTOBER is null and void. I might have to revisit this in November. And can you blame me if the man infuses our rum with things like chili and lemon slices.. 馃槀 The previous one had some cinnamon and ginger. OMW. It's really to die for. So.... Confession done. Now I can enjoy the drink and not feel so bad.
We've just started up the weber so it's a nice drink to accompany the braai. Just saying. 馃檮 馃槉
