OK hive coffee addicts this one is a bit different for me. While out for a walk in Hurghada I got suckered into one of the local spice shops.

Inside its a little overpowering no wonder he sits outside to catch the tourists.

and once your in it’s hard to say no when the owner is being so nice.

So among other things I ended up buying a huge bag of dried Hibiscus flowers for making Hibiscus tea.

You only need 3 or 4 flowers to make a cup and you can reuse them a few times before they get too weak. I think this bag is going to last a while.

Just pour in some boiling water and let it sit for about 5 minutes and your done.

All you need now is a cup and a nice view and a bit of sugar if you like.

Besides being quite present and refreshing to drink both hot or cold there are supposed to be a number of health benefits which include lowering your blood pressure, lowers blood fats, who knew you could get fat blood. It’s supposed to help liver function and also aid weight loss must be all that fat blood it’s sorting out. Lastly it has good antibacterial property’s so can help with stomach bugs quite handy in Egypt I guess.

So there you go Hivers Hibiscus tea is good for you who knows I might even keep drinking it when I get home it will make a nice change from coffee.
