This is a very important species of plant. This plant has been involved in our lives in a very important way since ancient times. Natural ayurvedic medicine is made from this plant which solves various problems of our body. And this plant is called holy basil, whose botanical name is Ocimum tenuiflorum. This holy basil plant grew in my backyard.

This plant is found in almost every home. This holy basil plant is known as a very beneficial plant, which can be used as a first aid for some problems at home. For example, the common fever of our body, cough, playing with the leaves of this holy basil plant with honey is a very quick relief. This holy basil plant is very deeply related to botany.

All the qualities, uses and other aspects related to this plant are analyzed in detail in the books of Botany. I remembered this holy basil plant when I read about another plant in the botany book this morning and I studied this plant at the same time. Although everyone has a preliminary idea about this plant. Then I just read about this plant and gained knowledge about its various qualities and uses.

When the leaves of this holy basil plant are dried, a beautiful fragrance is obtained. It is a medicinal plant, which is widely used as a tea in various ailments and this plant is considered sacred in our Hinduism. In the homes of almost all of our Hindus, mantras are worshiped in the evening and in the morning by lighting lamps and incense at the beginning of the holy basil plant.

This holy basil plant is an annual small plant and it can grow up to 2-3 meters. The stems of this plant are hairy in nature and the leaves are green. The plant has violet flowers, but is also often purple in color and produces numerous seeds. Medicines are made naturally from the stems, leaves and seeds of these plants.

This plant is used to maintain blood sugar levels and longevity. This holy basil plant is called by several different types such as: Indian Tulsi, Krishna Tulsi, Holy Tulsi, Hot Tulsi etc. This holy basil plant is used for various other treatments like diarrhea, common cold, headache, fever, upset stomach etc. It is also used in the treatment of ringworm.

Studies have shown that holy basil has a wide range of health-promoting properties including:
1. Antimicrobial (including antibacterial, antiviral,
2. antifungal and more)

8. Anti-pyretic (prevents itching)
9. Antitussive (treats cough)
10. Anti-arthritic

12. Adaptogenic

Holy basil is an adaptogenic herb. Adaptogens are substances found in plants that help boost the body’s resilience in dealing with stressors. Because the effects of stress on the body play such a huge role in the aging process, adaptogens are also considered to have anti-aging properties. They may perform many different functions including:
1. Balancing hormones such as cortisol (the stress hormone)
2. Improving brain function
3. Boosting the immune system
4. Lowering inflammation
5. Improving energy levels
6. Improving organ and bodily system (such as GI) function

Holy basil is used for its many health benefits, and is widely used in Indian Ayurvedic medicine, but there is insufficient evidence for the treatment of many conditions, including:
