Greetings to all 馃憢馃徎 I hope you are very well 馃檪 A few days ago I visited the botanical garden in the city of Buenos Aires and to which I dedicated several posts. It is a place with abundant vegetation, plants and sculptures that harbor history.
A few meters from the entrance of this extensive natural space there is a very interesting work that catches the attention just by looking at it from afar.
Saludos a todos 馃憢馃徎 Espero que est茅n muy bien 馃檪 Hace algunos d铆as estuve visitando el jard铆n bot谩nico en la ciudad de Buenos Aires y al cual le dediqu茅 diferentes posts. Es un lugar con abundante vegetaci贸n, plantas y esculturas que albergan historia.
A pocos metros de la entrada de este extenso espacio natural se encuentra una obra muy interesante que llama la atenci贸n al apenas verla de lejos.
It's a sculpture called Saturnales or in Latin 'Saturnalia' by the Italian artist Ernesto Biondi made in the early 1900s, representing the festivities in ancient Rome. A celebration dedicated to the Roman God of agriculture Saturn or also in celebration of some triumph.
There were many banquets, gifts and began with a sacrifice, all this took place in what was known or called as Forum Magnum. They were the best days for this civilization and a rest is the rules of the society.
Se trata de una escultura llamada Saturnales o en lat铆n 'Saturnalia' por el artista italiano Ernesto Biondi realizada a principios de 1900, representando las festividades en la antigua Roma. Una celebraci贸n dedicada al Dios romano de la agricultura Saturno o tambi茅n con motivo de celebraci贸n por alg煤n triunfo.
Hab铆an muchos banquetes, obsequios y se empezaba con un sacrificio, todo esto se llevaba a cabo en lo que se conoc铆a o llamaban como Forum Magnum. Eran los mejores d铆as para esta civilizaci贸n y un descanso son las reglas de la sociedad.
I find it very interesting to share this type of content that beyond the photograph itself we can appreciate the meaning of what we are portraying, the story behind what we see, so in this way we can learn something.
Me parece muy interesante compartir este tipo de contenidos que m谩s all谩 de la fotograf铆a en s铆 podemos apreciar el significado de lo que estamos retratando, la historia detr谩s de lo que vemos, asi de esta forma se plasma algo que podemos aprender.
I look at these photos and I imagine each of these characters in the middle of that feast, I see their faces and expressions and they elevate my imagination about it.
