In Buenos Aires, you can find all kinds of settings for street photography, from quieter neighborhoods and very modern areas to places like this one, where classical architecture predominates. It’s the kind of architecture that has stood for hundreds of years and characterizes the Buenos Aires of yesteryear, and that’s exactly where I like to be and capture moments because every single element makes it even more appealing. It makes me feel like I’m traveling back in time and experiencing a little bit of those golden ages that fascinate me so much.

This is the San Nicolás neighborhood, very close to the iconic Plaza de Mayo and Diagonal Norte. It’s a very popular area for the reasons mentioned above, it’s a bustling commercial hub and home to a large number of businesses and bank branches.

It was an afternoon with a rather dramatic sky. After a whole day of rain, the sun tried to peek out a little and created this scene that was part gray, part sunset. It was a great opportunity to take some photos during that brief moment. It’s also one of the best places to take photos and use a wide-angle lens in those narrow streets, allowing you to capture something visually more interesting.
