At this point in time, I am tired of what is going on around my environment. I don't know if this is supposed to be funny, and by the way, if you have something funny to say or if you have a joke to share or perhaps you are a joke and you want to show your character, you can do it in the Comedy Open Mic community through the COMtest here.
Now back to what is happening around me. It's usually just a normal day with me, I leave the house, board a bus to town, endure the climate change and just see how the rest of the day goes. Well two days ago, our bus broke down midway through our journey and that's where I saw a crowd gather whispering and 'acting' surprised.
When i turned on my inner transponder and strained my flappy ears, I could pick up signals of what was causing the uproar in the area. Apparently, the landlord of the compound had impregnated the househelp of his sidechick who is his tenant.
To solve the matter is a big problem because the sidechick has called her househelp's mother who turns out to be a good friend of the landlord's wife. Just when they were about to find a possible solution to the problem, the sidechick who was complaining of feeling feverish just started vomiting. Well, according to her she's single!
The biggest problem now is that the landlord's properties are not in his room. A driver just arrived the scene now to tell us that he saw the man bargaining prices for a single room with an agent. This matter is tiring everybody and now the landlord's wife can't imagine how she'll be both the husband and first wife to two other women.
Well, that was two days ago, and as I returned home yesterday tired and exhausted, I noticed another crowd just outside a church in my street. There was a man outside dressed in all white gown and red scarf with a staff. I rushed up to him to ask what a native doctor (babalawo) like him was doing outside a church. Is there a Jesus vs Satan battle going on, because I like such spectacles.
To my surprise, the man told me that he was just an apprentice, that his boss is inside the church. Apparently the babalawo's son is mad and he brought him to church for help. Now the whole prayer band has been brought in to help the native doctor.
As I peeked in through the window, I can see the native doctor on his knees, speaking in tongues inside the church and shouting "the blood of Jesus". But standing above him is an obviously shocked pastor who has not closed his eyes all through the prayer session just so he doesn't lose guard.
As I stepped out today, I can still hear the babalawo inside the church singing praise and worship, while telling his assistant to clap and speak in tongues. I hope his son gets well so he can go back to his job though.
Those were easier to manage though because it did not affect me personally. But I just got to church this morning and I got sent on an errand by one of my pastors who then gave me his contact so I can tell him how it goes. The problem here is that when I dialed the number, it showed that I already had the contact saved as Rm 69.
Well, I used to work as a receptionist at a hotel in town, and the person who had that number was a consistent perverse customer who specifically reserved the hotel room for himself because of what the number signifies. I'm not saying that my pastor is that same person though, after all, that my customer used to wear joggers, Jean, t-shirt, face cap and sunglasses and not suits with shirt and collar.
I don't know, but I wanted to ask him about it when I saw my senior pastor's wife come out to call his attention and I don't know if it's my imagination, but she walked just like one of Mr Rm 69's frequent clients. Perhaps it's my imagination, after all the lady used to wear leggings, crop top, scarf and sunglasses, and not pleating long skirts, padded tops and canopy-like hats.
