This is perhaps the fastest and most effective way to win a Bonsai Plant. There are plenty of choices if you walk in a Nursery specialized in Bonsai plants.
2 Training a Mature plant or tree
This method is used for experience people which they have spotted a particular plant or tree with they can turn into their imaginative shape and size. As these are mature plant or tree, the trunk and branches already formed and required heavy trimming or pruning.

3 Training a young plant
This method is easier than the former method as the young plant has less rigid branches. That makes the trimming or pruning much easier and therefore form into shape also more practical.

4 Training from Seed
This method takes the most time as you have to wait for the seed shot, grow and grow. However, since the trunk, branch and root are fairly young, training them to the desired shape is the easiest.
