A few weeks ago, I've went to my attic to look for my crayons. The plan was to start using them to participate in the graffiti lettering contest organized by trippymane@trippymane. I did find the crayons, but in addition I came across old drawings that I drew sometime in the 70's! Because they were drawn many years ago, the paper has turned somewhat yellow. I also did not use quality paper. I probably just took what I had on hand. On some of the sheets I have written «Moby Dick». Without being able to remember completely in detail, I have probably read that novel, which might have had pictures and then I have drawn these characters by looking at the pictures. I have used a pencil doing these drawings.

The story of Moby Dick is a story about the search of one spesific whale. Many ships had encountered this whale and received damage from because of this collision. When Pequod finds the whale, a three-day battle starts. The battle ends when the captain is dragged to the bottom with the whale. He becomes entangled in the harpoon line. But it's not the end. The whale returns and destroyes the ship and the crew except the narrator.

The novel Moby Dick was written by Herman Melville in 1851 and is considered a major work not only in American literature, but also to world literature. When he was young he spent four yeas at sea, some of these was spent whaling. This might have inspired him to write the novel Moby Dick. I don't remember the story in details, but do remember I was quite fascinated by stories of adventures. After checking out these facts, I do recall the story.
