STREET ART #275 – »End of the Line» street art festival in Aalborg, Denmark (7)
More artwork painted through the street art festival in Aalborg. Most of these murals won't be removed when the festival i over. They are painted on walls. The Karolinelund park has several buildings that are used as canvas for street artists, all year round. They do chance often as the artists are very active. But, these might still be here when I am back in a few month.
More than 30 artists have participated in the 4-day long street art festival in Aalborg. Both local and international artists have produced amazing work at "End of the Line", which is currently Denmark's largest art and music festival. In addition to seeing the artists in action, musical concerts were also held. The 3rd edition of the festival took place from 13th to 16th of August 2026 in the city park called Karolinelund.
The artist takes a break in the summer heat. We had the opportunity to have a talk with him, since we were the only ones here at this moment. He is a young artist from Aalborg who started painting graffiti in 2018. He get his inspiration from the people and urban life of Aalborg. The subject on this mural is a fish - but then again, Aalborg is situated by the Limfjord, offering opportunities for fishing.
The artist is not painting on a wall, but on one of the freestanding walls permanently installed in the park.
This is a huge end wall on the largest building in the park. A colorful wall where I saw more than one artist painting. They started a bit later than the others, and seemed to take time to finish. Even on sunday morning I am not sure if it is finished.
I didn't see these two before sunday morning when I was here to check if most of the murals were finished. My plan is to be back in Aalborg in October, so I will have to check out the park. Luckily I have a sister living two minutes walk from the park.
