Graduation venue
I'm super excited right now, today was my graduation at the New Breed Foundation. Few weeks ago, I wrote about how I acquired a new skill. A friend informed me of a foundation where people register to learn only one skill for a short period free of charge. I was excited about it and went on to register. I completed my training and today was our graduation. Here's a link just Incase you're interested - Another skill added to my list.
The training happens in batches. Since it's a free training, a lot of people register for it so we are usually admitted in batches. Today my department, which is the catering department, had graduates from 26 batches. The total number of today's graduates was 754. It was a massive one. The event took place at the Ibom Multipurpose Hall.

The turn up was massive, I was amazed at the crowd. I never thought a lot of people would show up. The hall couldn't contain everyone. There was an overflow and TVs were placed outside for others to have a view of how the ceremony was going on inside.
There were exhibitions of different creations from different departments but I couldn't take a shot of those because I was seated really far from that angle and the hall wasn't so bright. There were donations by so many notable and reputable government officials and there were starter packs for graduates who did excellently well during the training.

Though I was very consistent and was the class representative of my batch, I missed my exams and so I wasn't eligible to receive any gift and that really hurt. I felt so bad and I knew that would happen but I had to show up. This little experience has taught me to do whatever it is I'm doing excellently. You never can tell when a great opportunity will come knocking. I missed receiving a whole starter pack and that was a lot. Some people from my department received microwave ovens, a mixer and measuring scales. The fashion designing department students who did well received brand new sewing machines, the computer students got a brand new laptop. It was such a lovely sight. No one ever thought such amazing gifts would come from a free and short training.
Some gift items
I congratulated all the members of my batch, my friends and other graduates. We took some pictures and we called it a day. It was a wonderful graduation. I am looking forward to monetizing my new acquired skills. I pray God replenishes all the brains behind The New Breed Foundation. God bless them for keying into the sustainable development agenda.
