Caller: "We have no Internet and the phones are not working!"

Me: "OK, have you checked your router?"

Caller: "We have your Hosted VOIP phones so it must be something your end?"

Me: "Umm? I'm not sure what you mean? You said you had no Internet?"

Caller: "That's right. We have no Internet and the phones are not working."

Me: "So that tells me either your Router is at fault which is rare or your broadband is down."

Caller: "Broadband?"

Me: "Yes the Broadband on your phone line."

Caller: "We don't have any phone lines now. I told you, we have your Hosted VOIP phones."

Me: "Wait! You haven't cancelled your BT line have you?"

Caller: "Yes, I was told I don't need to pay BT for phone calls anymore so I cancelled the lines."

Oops!
