Blessings once again, everyone. Continuing with my series this week, today I've drawn a new microphone from the game. This one is located on card E247 TPS524. As you can see, it's a microphone with some very pretty purple colors. Its design is classic, with a typical cylindrical shape. I'm intrigued by the threaded part at the bottom, so I assume this microphone isn't meant to be held by a person; it's definitely designed to be placed on a stand.
It must be used in music studios like the ones we saw yesterday and the day before. Now I'm going to show you how I made the drawing. To begin, I used Adobe Illustrator to create the inner frame of the card. I always like to start with this step because it helps me create the microphone the correct size inside; it serves as my canvas. See how it turned out.
After drawing the frame, I first drew the top part of the microphone's silhouette, which in real life would be the part that captures the sound and voice. Then, I drew the complete body of the silhouette with an internal division.
In the details, I've delineated each internal area of the microphone with lines, so you can clearly see each zone. These lines also help me a lot when painting and filling in the interior. I've mentioned this a few times before, but I'm reminding you now in case you're new here. See how the finished sketch turned out.
Now, it's time to paint. This is where the drawing comes to life. As you can see, I used orange-red as the predominant color. I like that color; it's very eye-catching. I painted the microphone purple with some violet gradients. I painted the background in various shades of blue, as always. I used the colors of the original card as a guide to create it as closely as possible. I used a digital spray effect to paint the top of the microphone and give it that texture. But it's better if you see it for yourselves. So now I'm going to show it to you.
