Friends, today I want to show you the new drawing I’ve created. I based it on the "R264 Neon Bass" card from the game Rising Star. This card features a beautiful electric bass; I love its blue and light blue hues. When choosing a card to draw today, this was the one that appealed to me the most. By the way, as you might have noticed, this is a "Rare" card rather than a "Common" one. I had been drawing Common cards for quite a while, so I wanted something different for today. I’d also like to mention that in the coming days, I’ll be sharing drawings representing all the game's card categories.
So, let me show you step-by-step how I created today's drawing. To start, I drew the card's frame. For this piece, I didn't draw the entire card—just the inner frame—so we could focus on the instrument itself. Here is how it looked once finished.
After drawing the frame, I moved on to the next step: creating the bass's neck. As you can see, it’s the longest part of the instrument. Next, I sketched the silhouette of the bass body, capturing its distinctive shape exactly as it appears on the original card.
In the third step, I added the headstock at the top of the neck and drew in the tuning pegs. With that, the instrument's body and outline were complete, so I was ready to move on to the next stage.
The next step was painting the instrument and filling in the sketch with color. As you can see, I used the same colors found on the original card. For the background, I used a neon blue, while for the inner frame and various parts of the bass, I used different shades of blue, along with gray and black. You can see the entire process in the images below. By the way, as you can see in the last image, that’s where I added the guitar frets and strings—and with that, it was finished.
