Greetings to all my friends on Hive and in the Rising Star community! As always, I’m very happy to be back here on the platform to share a new drawing I’ve created. Today’s piece is special because it’s based on a card from one of the game’s seasonal sets—specifically, the 2022 seasonal card, S33 Rose Acoustic. It’s one of the most beautiful cards in the game; I absolutely love its design. While my drawing might not quite reach the level of the original card art, I’ve done my absolute best. I hope you enjoy it! This card’s design celebrates love and Valentine’s Day, which is why you’ll see plenty of hearts.
Now, I’ll walk you through the entire process, from start to finish. I should mention that this post includes more photos than usual, allowing you to follow the step-by-step progression in greater detail. To begin, I sketched the inner frame of the card—here’s how it turned out:
Next, I drew the guitar neck—the part where the strings are placed—followed by the guitar’s body, which features an "S" shape. Take a look:
The next step was to draw the headstock. It’s quite unique, as it’s shaped like a heart—I love the design! I believe it’s the only one of its kind in the game. I’ll add the tuning pegs later on.
Now for the best part: the coloring! You’ll notice even more photos here, as there were several new elements to incorporate. First, I painted the outer background a deep, vibrant red—a truly beautiful shade. Then, I colored the inner frame pink to create a nice contrast against the red. Finally, I filled in the inner background using various tones of red. For the background, I used various effects—ranging from solid colors to a spray-paint effect for the small dots, and much more. The new additions include hearts in the background, as well as a heart next to the tuning pegs on the headstock. I’ll show you the entire process, leading up to the guitar—the final element I painted—along with its specific details, such as the frets and strings.
And to wrap things up for today, here is the final result. As you can see, I added a heart to the frame—a nod to the original card—along with an emoji featuring a rose, referencing the rose found on the original guitar. Thank you so much for taking a look at this drawing. See you next time! Best regards.
