Hola Amigos...

Today, monday, is the day when I say another hour, another Splinterlands post from me. Welcome to my second weekly Splinterlands BATTLE MAGE SECRETS challenge. We still have this SILENCED SUMMONERS ruleset as our theme.

This is the ruleset where all summoner in the battle field can not use their ability. So this means there isn't any buff or debuff from them. I already talk quite a lot about this on my first post, so lets talk other thing now.

I said before that the first thing we should pick was Dragon Summoner. Then try to employ some supports in your team, they would bring some big difference. Ok lets do that again but this time in harder condition...

I pick this ruleset as the battle today. Its a SILENCED SUMMONER with GOING THE DISTANCE rulesets. How we are going to do this? Simple for me, I will go with life because thats where I can get better range supports than Earth and Death. Actually Death is a good choice too, they have Ravenhood Warden there.

However I still stick with Life and Let's see our battle then...

THE BATTLE

This was a Modern Gold league rank battle, and I was using BLACKRRSANTAN, a scholarship account from bulldog1205 the famous streamer. I used this account mostly to play Brawl for JUICE GUILD. Anyway if you are a diamond league player and looking for a good guild to play competitive brawl, please drop us a message.

• The battle started with both of us buffing up our team and debuffing our opponents.
• My opponent came with 3 Melee Damage, and 8range damage. It's a combined 11 damage per round.
• My team had 12 range damage per round.
• I came with a better arsenal however there was one big weakness in my line up... I ditched the true tank units. All of my units were purely archers.

• LoL they lost their The Vigilator in the first round. What a waste.

• Their venari marksrat got killed and he gave martyr effect to the Heroes of Beyond who was behind him. This was the most troublesome condition I had to settle in this battle.

• Heroes of Beyond was indeed very strong, I just did not know why they did not put him on the first tank position. Really hard to kill him.

• In a glance, Round 4 seemed equal as both side came with 3 vs 3 condition. They had the attacking tank and I had idle tank due to no close range ability.
• The difference was built by the backliners. They had 2 archers with combined 2 damage per round and I had Pelacor Arbalest and a healer, Venary Crystalsmith.

• Round 5 started with 3 vs 3 condition, however the battle favored on my side. I still had Pelacor Arbalest as my strongest arsenal, and they were clinging on their tank, Heroes of Beyond, who already near dead.
• Heroes of Beyond died in this round, and that's the end of their last hope.

• Ok this was the end. The battle ended in the next round however at this point its pointless to continue. 1 damage from Halving Alchemist meanwhile my Venary Crystalsmith healing 2 health per round. It's a dead end. Good Game

CLOSURE AND DISCUSSION

It's a big joke when you have The Vigilator and you just lose like that. So how's that happens?

1. EXPLOIT THE SPEED

This is what people mostly forget durng Silenced Summoners. They just dropping big strong terrifying units / monsters. they forget that they should be focusing on certain meta.

As I said Exploit your support, I bring this common card that change the flow of the battle.

And that +1 speed buff was the big factor why I could win despite my opponent came with better units.

2. LUCK IS EFFORT

The biggest decisive point was in the first round when their Venary Crystalsmith got killed by taking damage from Portal Spinner then got return fire damage from Naga Assassin. That's a double RNG favor on my side. What a luck, wasn't it?

Well, you need effort to get that luck. Although the odds was not big, you wouldn't get it if you had not set it up first. I set Venari Marksrat to buff up Naga Assassin speed, and Supply runner swiftness adding more speed to to naga assassin... that's not just a random luck. The luck came from that efforts.
