Hello, friends especially foodies!

On Sunday before the Sunday Service, I went to the Food Court at the mall where my church is. The quite large food court was located on the 5th floor and named Delicae. Because the food court is so popular, so when I came there at around 11.30 AM there were customers before me. The food court was clean, neat and comfortable, plus on one of its’ corner it also had its’ own washing hands area and also rest rooms. Anyway this food court also at the same floor with the cinema and located not far from it.

Enough with the Food Court now let us go to the Food Stall where I ordered my lunch. The food stall named Bakmi GM (GM Noodle) and is famous and legendary.

Here how the food stall looked

Eventhough I came not too late that day, the food stall looked full. Look at how many customers were there before me.

GM Noodle, the name of the food stall is an Indonesian Chinese Noodle Specialist. So the main dishes they served were noodle. They put the menu on the cashier table. And because the food stall was not a big stall or restaurant of them, the menu was limited.

Here were the choices of menu that they offered:
• They had their legendary menus, noodles. From GM Special Noodle (with mushroom with sweet dominant flavour), Chicken Noodle (no mushroom with savory dominant flavour), Capcay Noodle, Cha Cha Pepper Chicken Noodle, and Fried Noodle. If you don’t want to have noodles, no worry because they could swap the noodle with rice noodle.
• They also sold their Special GM Rice, Fried Rice, Capcay rice and Cha Cha Pepper Chicken Rice.
• There they also had additional toppings for their chicken noodle like meatballs, dumplings or fried dumplings. Unfortunately they don’t have the combination of them (I got this in my mind and they could named it Combination Toppings, right?)
• For the side dish, they had Fried Dumplings, Steamed/Fried Chicken Shewmay, Meatballs and Dumplings.
• For additional snacks they sold krispy chips in many flavours such as Matah Chili, Roasted Corn, Black Garlic, Salted Egg and Truffle.
• The drinks they provided were just Iced Coffee with Milk, Iced/Hot Green Tea, Hydrococo Coconut water, Sweetened Iced Tea, Tea, Mineral Water, and Bottled Sweetened Tea.

For all the main menu they offered would be completed with iced tea so no need to order extra drink.
Anyway the menu in this stall was only a bit, not as many as they have in their restaurant or largest stall.

For the food I chose, Chicken Noodle with Fried Dumplings as the extra topping. This main menu already completed with Iced Tea and I paid 48,500 IDR or around 3.09 USD.

They gave me the alarm and after around 15 minutes of waiting, my food was ready, the alarm beeped and rang. I needed to pick my food up to the counter. And here was my lunch, I got two fried dumplings on the top of my noodle, I need to execute them first then. I got a bowl of soup and also a cup of Iced Tea.

Now let me tell you the taste and flavour of them..

First I started from the FRIED DUMPLINGS that they put on the top of the noodle.

Awkwardly the fried dumplings weren’t hot at all, at least they should serve it warm so it would taste even more delicious. The dumpling’s skin was crunchy but soft. It had quite large skin with really small amount of chicken meat inside. The taste of it was savory and tasty. Even it was not warm at all I still could enjoy the taste, but the one I missed they didn’t give the sauce they usually give for these dumplings when you buy it in 5 pieces or 10 pieces, the sauce is really tasty and match with the dumplings, so I missed it a lot.

Next I would tell you about the main dish I ordered CHICKEN NOODLE

I put on the chili sauce to my noodle, because their chili sauce is one of their best legendary. Now how about the flavour of it, oh no, the sauce was different, it wasn’t spicy, sour and sweet like it usually, it only tasted sweet with a bit spicy flavour in it. So different and it made it less tasty than it usually. Next the noodle served dumped and sticked each other, they must stirred it properly when it was still hot and put the exact amount of oil so it won’t sticky and dumped like that. It had savory flavour with the chicken that was also tasted the same, savory. Unfortunately they mixed the chicken meat with thick skin that I couldn’t enjoy and also they used unfresh vegetable to the noodle. What they made really ruined the legendary noodle that had built in my mind, so I thought it wasn’t a legend anymore.

So I don’t recommend Chicken Noodle with Fried Dumplings from this stall, but I don’t know would it taste the same on their other branches. Do hope they still have tasty noodle from other branches..
