Hello friends, especially foodies!
Today, I'd like to share our little food adventure at Yakiniku Like in Pacific Place Mall, Jakarta. Actually it is bit far from where we live, it was because on Saturday I had a meeting in my main office building which is next to the mall and that day, my husband also worked. So we would have lunch outside before going back home.
I'd heard that Yakiniku Like was good, and eventually, my husband and I decided to try it ourselves.
Well, at the front they put some of their menu on the banners. And wait a minute, now they also had the AYCE packages too, well interesting! It mentioned all day with 80 minutes duration.. I think it is new because I haven’t heard that they also had the AYCE packages.
When we went inside this place had a quite large dining area. So we could decide where to sit.
For the menu, they had AYCE menu.
Then also had toridon, nikudon, and all yakiniku set menus with kind of meat you could choose.
After being confused by the menu, then we decided to order AYCE packages! But they would take the raw materials to our table, so we didn’t need to choose and pick what we like to our table like what we usually do in other AYCE restaurants.
Oh yeah on the table, the had some sauces to choose. They had original BBQ, garlic soy, spicy and also lemon sauce. They also provided grated garlic, original chili paste, and fresh cut chili.
Not a long time after we had ordered, a waiter came with the tray of rice, miso soup, salad, kimchi and some Korean condiments (well haha supposed to be Japanese, but it also included some Koreanese wkwkw).
Next they came with kind of meat which already had sauces on it, lettuce, chicken and corn cheese wrapped in the alumunium foil.
When we cooked, they delivered more side dishes, ebi furai, chicken karaage and also French fries. And also they gave us sausages to be grilled too!
They had high quality meat with not too thick nor thin – perfect slices, their sausages were also great. The sauces were special too, our favorite was their BBQ original, it had savory and also a bit sweet flavor, somehow it blended perfectly with their meat. The sausages, especially cheese ones were so tasty and became my husband’s favorite. We also enjoyed their side dishes, tasted so great. Ebi furai, chicken karaage and fries, they didn’t disappoint us.
Well, for the wide cut of the beef slices, we could use the scissors to cut them. They provided it too.
My husband wrapped the beef in the lettuce and also put some kimchi in it, so he ate the beef in two style, just the way it was and also with the veggie.
Overall, we enjoyed the food, especially the meat and sauces. I'm glad we finally decided to give Yakiniku Like a try after hearing good things about it.
For two packages of their AYCE yakiniku, plus service charge and tax it costed us 458,238 IDR or around 25.25 USD. Considering the variety of meat and other items included in the package, we were happy with our experience. Of course, whether AYCE is worth it depends on your appetite and how much you enjoy eating meat.
Conclusion!
Since this was our first AYCE experience at Yakiniku Like, we were happy that we decided to give it a try.
The meat, the special sauces, and especially the cheese beef sausages made the meal enjoyable. My husband already has a favourite, so I think he wouldn't mind coming back for those sausages again!
Sometimes, it's nice to try a place we've heard good things about instead of just wondering whether it's worth visiting.
This time, our experience was a good one, and we enjoyed our Japanese BBQ date together.
