Hello, friends especially foodies!
Eating udon (Japanese thick noodle) with beef broth and only niku (beef) slices topping was ordinary, but what if udon had spices broth with thick barbeque beef slices. Woah it was the newest and I should try it!!!
Luckily when I arrived there not many customers were there cause I arrived a bit earlier for lunch last Saturday. They hung their new menu outside. Their menu was quite vary but they had udon as its’ specialty like the name of the restaurant, marugame udon.
When I arrived then I ordered to the chef who right away then he prepared gyu jiro udon I requested.
Beside they also had some fried dishes like veggie tempura, ebi tempura, and so on. I tried their newest one that made from sweet potato called Satsuma butter.
For the taste and flavour of them all:
- GYU JIRO UDON : had thick spices like curry broth soup which made me fell in love, it was so tasty in savory and spicy. While the beef, I thought it was a bit greasy because they roasted then put it on soup udon. Maybe better if it served separately. And like usually I added the chilli powder on it while chilli already on their basic topping. Oishii!
- SATSUMA BUTTER: had tasty sweet flavour with cheese too inside. Although the texture is okay, crispy crunchy but inside was soft but I still thought it was too sweet for me.
My experience in trying two menus from marugame udon just finished, satisfied because I could do it myself and also could try them.
SO when will you try this newest GYU JIRO UDON?
