The other day I was browsing through my crypto apps reading some articles here and there. I ran into one that was extremely interesting to me and something I did not know. Bitcoin and satoshi gets all of the credit for creating blockchain technology. The fact is he just combined technology that others had came up with put them all together and created bitcoin.
In 1988 Ralph Merkle was on of the inventors of the private keys that are used in blockchain. Then in the early 90's Stuart Habor and W. Scott Stornetta actually invented blockchain. They were trying to find a way to time stamp documents. They used hashes to record previous records. There is much more you could look up to understand what all they did.
Satoshi took all of the technology that was already out there and put them all together to make bitcoin. In the bitcoin whitepaper he cited this three times. He deffinetly wanted it to be known that he used other peoples work to make bitcoin.
To me this is very interesting and I think they should be recognized way way more than they are. I looked them up on twitter and they have so few followers. Now think if we knew who satoshi was and if he had twitter. I am sure he would have many more followers than the two of these guys I found. I did not search other social media sites to see if they use them or not. I just wanted to get this information out there some more so maybe these guys could get recognized more than they already are. I think it is what satoshi wanted by mentioning them so many times in his white paper!
