Time for some fresh air

Every weekend, my daughter cleans Ozzie's enclosure, he gets a bath, and now that it is warming up, he will get some outside time. Today was the first time in a while that Ozzie got to go out and be in the sun.

At first he wasn't too happy about being outside, but he quickly started to sniff around and play.

When Ozzie is normally out of his enclosure, he is curled up cuddling with one of us, but he seemed excited to be out in the fresh air and feel the warm sun on him.

After a while, he ran into the grass and started to sniff around. I think he was looking for some little bugs to snack on.

My daughter wanted to put some dandelions on him and make him pretty.

He was really interested in the smell of the dandelion.

I think Ozzie had a lot of fun today playing outside in the sun. Hedgehogs are normally nocturnal animals, so we were sure how active he would be outside, but he ran around a little bit. We had him outside for about 10 minutes and then brought him back inside so he can get back to sleep. After all of the exercise, he got some dried bugs for a treat and then headed to sleep.
