Well, I guess it depends on the individual. If I had it to do over, I would do it... differently.

Meaning more emphasis on the land as a viable place for growing food and being self-sufficient, and less emphasis on the dwelling and convenience. Taxes, insurance and all the extra bits are lower when the value is more balanced towards land.

Being a digital nomad has its appeal, though... but I would want to have good fallback cushion before doing such a thing. Not so much for lacking a sense of adventure as for a fallback in this weird age of "pandemics" and unexpected lockdowns.
