Feliz noche amigos de Hive Margarita hoy quiero compartir con ustedes algunas fotos de algo muy lindo que hice el día de mi cumpleaños y es que yo cumplí años en Julio, solo que no estaba activa en la plataforma. Pero hoy compartiré con ustedes el regalo de cumpleaños que me hizo mi mejor amiga, y es que en la isla hay una cuenta que se llama senderos margaritas y quisimos hacer uno de sus senderos y nos fuimos al cerro el Copey y hacer una sendero llamado el sendero de mariposas azules. Les debo decir que si vimos algunas mariposas azules pero no logramos tomarle fotos. Pero quiero que sepan que la isla no solo son playas, hay senderos de montaña muy lindos.
Good evening, Hive Margarita friends! Today I want to share some photos of something lovely I did for my birthday which was back in July, though I wasn't active on the platform at the time. I’m sharing the birthday gift my best friend gave me: there’s an account on the island called Senderos Margaritas, and we decided to hike one of their trails. We headed to Cerro El Copey to take on the "Blue Butterfly Trail." I have to admit that, while we did see a few blue butterflies, we didn't manage to snap any photos of them. Still, I want you to know that the island is about more than just beaches; there are some beautiful mountain trails here, too.
Con mi mejor amiga nos levantamos muy temprano ya que este paseo con senderos margarita, ellos tienen el transporte incluído y llegamos al cerro el copey, tuvimos varios guías que nos acompañaron. También varios paramedicos y empezamos a subir el cerro.
My best friend and I got up very early for the hike with Senderos Margarita since they provide transportation and arrived at Cerro El Copey. We were accompanied by several guides and paramedics as we began the ascent.
Comenzamos a caminar el sendero era de aproximadamente 5 kilómetros, comenzamos a caminar, subir algunas partes bastante empinadas. Fuimos haciendo amigos mientras que caminábamos ya que éramos un grupo como de 15 a 20 personas.
We started walking along the trail which was about 5 kilometers long and made our way up some fairly steep sections. We made friends as we walked, since we were a group of about 15 to 20 people.
Pero cuando llevabamos como dos kilómetros caminando me empecé a sentir y estuve a punto de desmayarme. Menos mal en el grupo iba un paramédico y también un médico y me ayudaron, pues se me bajo un poco la tensión. Estuve sentada un buen rato hasta que me sentí un poco mejor y pude seguir.
But after we had been walking for about two kilometers, I started feeling unwell and was on the verge of fainting. Fortunately, there was a paramedic and a doctor in the group who helped me, as my blood pressure had dropped a bit. I sat down for quite a while until I felt a little better and was able to continue.
Luego de que me sentí mejor seguimos caminando, pues debiamos llegar hasta un mirador donde podríamos comer y descansar un rato para poder seguir caminando y llegar hasta nuestro destino.
After I felt better, we continued walking, as we needed to reach a viewpoint where we could eat and rest for a while before pressing on to our destination.
Llegamos al mirador y por supuesto tenía que tomarme una foto con un cupcake que lleve para celebrar mi cumpleaños. Un cumpleaños diferente y tratando de hacer algo para distraerme y no pensar que era el primer cumpleaños que pasaré sin mi mamá.
We arrived at the viewpoint, and of course, I had to take a photo with a cupcake I’d brought to celebrate my birthday. It was a different kind of birthday an attempt to distract myself and keep from thinking about the fact that this was the first birthday I’d be spending without my mom.
Seguimos caminado y la vegetación se volvía cada vez más espesa, encontramos sembradíos de una fruta llamada mamey, flores, plantas de cacao. También nos encontramos algunos cangrejos en el camino.
We kept walking, and the vegetation grew increasingly dense; we came across groves of a fruit called mamey, as well as flowers and cacao plants. We also encountered some crabs along the way.
Y finalmente llegamos a un pequeño riachuelo, que la verdad no tenía mucha agua pero al llegar a este lugar logramos ver algunas mariposas azules, pero fueron tan rápidas que nos dieron tiempo de tomarles fotos. No nos bañamos en el riachuelo. Pero si sumergimos los pies y el agua estaba realmente fría.
Finally, we arrived at a small stream which, to be honest, didn't have much water but upon reaching the spot, we managed to see some blue butterflies; however, they were so fast that we didn't have time to take photos of them. We didn't go swimming in the stream, but we did dip our feet in, and the water was really cold.
