The struggle of man begins at birth; the king and queen has just welcomed their first child. They brought the baby for blessing to the shrine chanting songs to the god of war, of iron and the doctor of all male children.
Then they called the priests as part of their custom to foretell the future of the child.
The priests spoke, saying " this is a child of destruction, he will kill his father and marry his mother". Bad words said the elders, the mother wept, father wept. The future is not bright but to dwell on it is to be crippled fast. Life must go on, the only way to avert it, is to kill the child.
This is sad for both parents, their first and only child, born to the world only to be killed. NO there has to be another way the mother cried out, father consoles her in grief.
The priest orders the baby to be taken to the forest and left to die......
Two years later, kike the mother of the cursed child had another son named olu..indeed their joy is back.
They lived peacefully and happily for 32 years , then the king passed away. The Queen kike is not getting any younger. Their son Olu' the prince is now a man.
Since the King the keeper of the land was gone, the neighbouring communities took advantage, it was WAR.
Hundreds of people were killed, husbands, fathers taken as slaves, there was wailing on every sides. The land is doomed.
