Aug. 19, 22: Routine, Windows, Walking, Driving, TV, and Games
[Well, didn’t get to bed until significantly past one this morning and up pretty early now and got a whole day of walking around to go, so I’m definitely not going to have enough time to do a proper post this morning.]
Today was my birthday, but didn’t really celebrate much, just a normal day busy and getting ready to go away for the weekend.
Long story short, did all my morning stuff as usual and then had a guy out to give us an estimate on replacing the upstairs windows. Two of them they wouldn’t even deal with since they need to be raised and for the two small and three large ones: $14,680. 🤬🤬 Even if I had ordered them today, it would be six months before we had them anyway! 😱

After the window guy left, I took the dog out for a little while. He wasn’t really all that into it and wanted to turn around pretty early.
Now this is my kinda’ weather! Eighty and sunny? Perfect! The doggy thought it was a little bit toasty, though, I think.
Got everything packed and ready and then we drove the four hours up north. It was already pushing eleven by the time we got settled in the room, but there was a super loud cricket somewhere in the room. We tried to find it but couldn’t and eventually we had to call the front desk. At around midnight they moved us to another room and I finally got to sleep like around one thirty.
No crime or crises in my dShitty today and actually got more than the absolute minimum. Been that was for a few days now, waiting for the token price to collapse so we can go back to normal shittiness.
No surprise, it was a one mission day on Rising Star.
Didn’t get around to taking care of HashKings, which means it’s going to sit for the whole weekend as well. 🤬 If only the mobile site was even remotely functional…
There wasn’t really much of a chance to play Splinterlands today. I did get my brawl battles in, but otherwise it never crossed my mind to play.
Got my brawl participation rewards and had enough to get a Gladiator pack:
Finally swapped out all the SPS I had liquid and the DEC I’d been sitting on. Considered selling the vouchers as well, but held off for now. Still, gave me a bit of liquid to play with and I bought back some SOL. 😢
