Back when the Annapurna Circuit was just a walking trail, people used donkey convoys to transport stuff. Even though the walking trail has been widened to a 4x4 jeep trail, people still use donkeys.
It's amazing to see the animals walk fully loaded on the very edge of the track, staying clear of the traffic.
