“Friend, it's called self-control, and that is the fruit of the Spirit of God in my life. Because, see, years ago I would not have tried to suppress the feeling that you need to die for this foolishness you just did to my car, but today I can calmly look at the damage, and ask you about your insurance. I also can be just as calm even though you cussed me out and tried to hit me with a tire iron, and be just as calm having grabbed you and hog tied you in your own clothing and sat on you waiting for the police to come. See, we all deserve to die for our sins, but God was patient with me doing what I was doing until I believed on the Lord Jesus Christ as my Savior, and, so while we wait, I thought I could share with you that if you are going be out here in this county where there are so many men like me with kill lists longer than you are tall, you might want to be sure that you are going to heaven.”

An entire crowd was standing around Col. H.F. 'Angel of Death' Lee and the man he had pinned to the ground while this extraordinary conversation was taking place. The colonel's Lexus had been T-boned while it was parked just outside Big Discounts for Your Loft, and he had walked out of the store while the driver of the other car had gotten out to see what he had just hit.

Turns out, however, that the driver was someone who knew the colonel in his persona as police captain in Big Loft for having arrested his brother and having started the brother down the road to decades in prison. He recognized the colonel's face from the press conference, and so flipped out and went for the tire iron.

“I don't understand what we just saw,” one crowd member said to another. “I mean, the guy whose car get wrecked just took the tire iron out of the other guy's hand like he is the other guy's dad taking his son's toy, and then tied the other guy in his own clothes in about a minute – and then yawned and is now telling the man about Jesus?”

“That's a strange bird of a very dangerous man,” said the other crowd member, “but it just goes to show you that if you live right, you aren't in the way of as many dangerous men.”

“Yeah, I probably need to start going back to church,” the first crowd member said, “whenever this Covid stuff is over.”

“Naw, man, that ain't it,” the other crowd member said. “You got to know Jesus, because out here on the roads with folks with tire irons and the ability to put you down with their bare hands in all of five seconds, you need Jesus to be your Savior and take the wheel and steer you around all these birds.”
