As a result of a hard fork of ethereum network in July, blockchain not only survived, but is about to evolve into a competing version of the decentralized application platform, Ethereum. Now, the platform advocates are beginning to mobilize.
As part of this drive, the defenders of classical ethereum held their first meetup (meeting) formal in London this week, where some supporters see it as a launching pad for the newly created community.
Overall, the meetup sought to provide an overview of the project objectives, and the financial and legal implications of hard fork network. Among the speakers was Simon Taylor, research director at blockchain in 11: FS; and Nishant Bhaskar, an executive of Lloyds Banking Group.
The meetup began with the main organizer comments, Arvicco, who watched as his supporters do not want to support a system that was involved in what they see as a "long train of abuses".
"Only communities that clearly define their values and meet the, will be successful in the world of free and voluntary cooperation, without coercion."
The slide show from the event shows the team also made a point of drawing a roadmap for how the project intends to progress.
This will include ethereum take customers to the classic ethereum, supporting the launch of new networking tools and exploring how its developers could create a consensus framework that differentiates it from a system planned as a mere participation of ethereum.
Perhaps the most interesting in the event, was a cameo of bitcoin and ethereum investors, and mining Chandler Guo. Best known for threatening ethereum classic with its mining capacity, only a month ago, he said in a statement that he is ready to invest 100% in the ETC.
"I made a mistake before," said Guo, on its initial decision to support the decision of hard fork of ethereum. Later, he asked the Chinese ethereum supporters to back the classic ethereum.
Organizers said the next meetups classic ethereum will be held in Zurich, Shanghai, Melbourne and Toronto.
