Hello everyone and welcome to my blog, hive reachout weekly prompt 58 "unforgettable experience"
Life has a lot of unexpected events but some events stay with us for long. One unforgettable experience that happened to me was when my colleague stole my phone in the middle of the night when I was sleeping. It was very shocking, and I felt betrayed. The event made me feel pain , I was hurt at the same time angry and distrustful. This accident taught me a lesson about trust and vigilance, even with people around me, people I thought I knew well.
HOW IT STARTED
It was a normal day at work, I was so tired and I had to stay late to finish some pending tasks so I decided to sleep in the staff quarters instead of going home because it was late. My phone was down so I needed to charge it and my phone was the most valuable possession with me, my contact, my important message and personal memories. So before slept I plug the phone on a table close to the window. At around 2 am, I woke up from sleep feeling thirsty, so I went to take water coming back to the room. I reach out for my phone to check the time. To my greatest surprise I couldn't find my phone . At first I thought maybe it had fallen behind the table, so I searched behind the table, under the bed and around the room But there was nothing, It was nowhere to be found. My heart started racing How could my phone just disappear? It was just here, I was sure I kept it on the table.
WHEN I STARTED THE SUSPISION
I looked around I couldn't see my phone so I rush outside and raising alarm of thief. But I also noticed my colleague was not in bed, he had been acting strangely earlier that evening but I didn't pay it any attention. Now his absence makes me suspicious. He came back and was behaving suspiciously. I asked him if he saw my phone and he said no but hesitated to answer. The next morning when I was about to go home, the security man called me and told me that he heard what happened to me. but yesterday he saw my colleague with my phone outside the gate with his friend, thinking I was the one who gave him the phone but he didn't know what they were talking about . Immediately I rushed back with anger and confronted him asking my colleague again about my phone if he had seen it, he acted surprised and denied not knowing anything about it ,but his nervous behavior and the shaky voice made me believe that truly he took my phone.so I told him that The security saw him last night with my phone immediately he started apologizing he didn't know what came over him. They next morning I reported to my boss the supervisor and he was interrogated and he confessed how he plan to steal my phone knowing that when I raised an alarm yesterday about my phone an inspection was going to take place, that's why him wasn't in the room at the time my phone was missing.my boss ask why he did it, he said he was jealous of me because am doing well at work and wanted to show me a lesson, I was suprice i couldn't believe it, all this betrayed over a petty jealousy. So my boss ask were is my phone now, unfortunately his friend already sold it and we where not able to retrieve it.
After all, he was suspended work but the damage was done already I no longer feel self around my work mate “colleagues” the trust was broken and I became more curious about my belongings. This experience though me that it not everyone you smile with is your friend some people pretend to nice but have different motives, even in a place where you feel is safe, theft Can happen and also I learn to stand up for my self, if I hadn't spoke up my colleague could had gotten away with it
In summary. this accident remains me of many unforgettable experience, losing my phone was really painful also realizing that the colleague I trusted could betray me like this. However the accident made me wiser and more alert in dealing with people.
